This doesn't make any sense

You see, what happened was Crosby, Stills & Nash had to play live. Their first album was put together in the studio with a drummer and Steven Stills playing almost all of the instruments. And then the trio sang all the beautiful harmonies. When they had to prove what was recorded could be replicated in a live setting, they needed a band. So Neil Young was asked to join. Even though Stills and Young had almost killed each other in Buffalo Springfield. Young was on board for the live shows and then an album (Deja Vu). And it was pretty much blowing up from the start because, even though both men seemed to think they could work together again, it was obviously not the greatest idea in the history of rock. And, of course, the drummer got screwed in the end.

After a week of talking (while Libya's dictator--he who will not be named because we can't spell it--bombed the shit out of the rebels), the UN approved a "no-fly zone" above Libya. And so another war begins. Interestingly, France took the first shots. I'm thinking they get a lot of oil from Libya.

Full Speed Veronica rocks Low Spirits on Thursday night. If you show up at five, you'll see a couple of bands sponsored by the local "adult contemporary" corporate radio station. And then a couple of local comics. After that, the real rock begins. Red Light Cameras, FSV and then Suicide Lanes. Which, after the show was set up, we realized all have vehicular related names. If we assume Veronica is a car. We should totally cover "Little Red Corvette."

After getting pissed at Jehovah's Witnesses' using the earthquake and mushrooming nuclear catastrophe in Japan as some kind of wack recruiting tool for the Lord, I found out a lot of people don't like Japan (and not just the Chinese). I'm pretty sure we've been at war against a bunch of other countries since WWII, so it can't be that. I don't know, I love sushi. And Lost In Translation. I'm not sure what people's problem is.

Speaking of religious intolerance (sorta), I had Irish whiskey from both the Protestant and Catholic sides of that long running feud. Guess what? No hangover. I'm thinking if Jamesons, Bushmills and Powers have no problem mingling in my stomach, then everyone should calm the fuck down about what they believe.

The checkout lady at Wal-Mart uses different scented candles to get her boyfriend to do what she wants. When she wants him out of the house, she burns the black cherry candle. If she wants some lovin', it's vanilla. What about hazelnut?

Charlie Sheen, not a stand up comic or really used to doing anything other than drugs in front of a live audience, has sold out a short spoken word (is this the right term?) tour. Everyone in our band cracks jokes during practice and all, but it's really hard to be funny standing up on stage--which is why we play songs most of the time. Of course, he'll probably be heavily medicated. So maybe it's really the "public meltdown" tour.

I watched the end of one of the close NCAA tournament games on my boss's phone last week. That excruciating five minutes or so makes me wonder why anyone would watch anything on a screen that small (and this was a rather new iPhone, so one of the biggest phone screens out there). Did he shoot it? Did it go in? I can't tell if that was a bad call or not. Oh wait, it's buffering again. Seriously, 15" black and white TVs are better than this crap.

My brackets are busted (I had K-State going to the Final Four in both), but my "No Big East" bracket, where I eliminated all of the Big East teams in the first round, is doing better than the other one. Really? 11 teams from one conference? You were just asking for it, weren't you?

Matt Worley thinks everyone should get a shot at a title.
